Casinos Austria bet on AGI Roulette products

Austrian Gaming Industries GmbH (AGI), the wholly owned subsidiary of Novomatic Group of Companies, delivers sophisticated Roulette technology to four additional casinos of the exclusive Austrian casino concessionary Casinos Austria.

AGI, whose headquarters reside in Gumpoldskirchen, is the leading producer of highly innovative gaming equipment and state-of-the-art game design. The company was first to recognise the potential of electronic live games, and in 1997 developed the revolutionary Novomatic multi-player Roulettes Novo TouchBet® Live-Roulette and Novo Multi-Roulette™. AGI invests more than 10 percent of its annual turnover in research and development and new products are continuously designed – just one of the reasons why AGI was able to quickly establish its leading position on the international multi-player market.

Casinos Austria, the sole casino concessionary in Austria who exclusively owns and operates the twelve Austrian casinos, has decided to gradually equip all Austrian casinos with the Novomatic Multi-Player Roulettes. The Novo TouchBet® Live-Roulette and Novo Multi-Roulette™ are already to be found in the majority of Casinos Austria’s national operations and the latest orders have been installed at the end of July.

Both Roulette systems can be extended to allow up to 250 participants to play simultaneously in one Roulette game via individual terminals, thus offering increased comfort and privacy for the players and optimum space management and maximum flexibility for the operator. Reader heads attached to the Roulette wheel guarantee electronic recognition of the ball position. Sophisticated camera and screen technology enable players to follow the game in real-time either on a giant plasma screen or directly on their individual terminals where information screen functions also provide the complete game statistics. Touchscreen technology eliminates misunderstandings and discussions at the table as it allows the players to place their bets by fingertip on their individual touchscreen terminals just like putting chips on a live game table. Differently coloured chips on the plasma screen represent the individual player bets.

While the Novo TouchBet® Live-Roulette allows players to join a real live Roulette game, the Novo Multi-Roulette™ is a completely automated version of the traditional live Roulette game. It is available as a stand-alone configuration or as an 8-player island configuration, and consists of electronic player stations linked to a fully automated Roulette wheel. In both cases the operator benefits from the automatic and secure cash handling and payout mechanism as well as the permanently provided accurate accounting and extensive statistics functionalities. The system is compatible with all major online systems and the software can – depending on regional legal restrictions - be easily updated via remote login in coordination with the casino operator.

“Over the years, Casinos Austria has become a customer who very much values the quality and benefits of our single player products, and this has led to AGI’s position as preferred supplier of choice,“ says Jens Halle, Managing Director AGI. “Now Casinos Austria has made the decision to further improve its stakes in our multi-player Roulettes by seeing the clear advantages of interactive live games made in Austria. As a superior blend of live-game and slots both the Novo Multi-Roulette™ and the Novo TouchBet® Live-Roulette attract new players to the Roulette game and at the same time convince Roulette traditionalists with their increased comfort and privacy.”
