"Looking beyond one's own nose" at the sixth NOVOMATIC Responsible Gaming Symposium

Company -

Vienna/Gumpoldskirchen (OTS) - NOVOMATIC Group's sixth consecutive Responsible Gaming Symposium was staged at Novomatic Forum in Vienna on the 13th of October 2015. This year, guests were once again given an overview of the significant international scientific findings from the world of addiction prevention research. Apart from Prof. Donatella Marazziti from the University of Pisa, we also managed to enlist speakers such as Laura DaSilva from Great Britain as well as NOVOMATIC experts from Germany and Italy.

The now traditional Responsible Gaming Symposium fully focused on "looking beyond one's own nose" by having renowned speakers from all over Europe present their latest scientific findings to an interested audience of NOVOMATIC prevention experts as well as representatives from authorities and addiction prevention facilities.

Following the exciting and challenging key lecture by Prof. Marazziti, Laura DaSilva went to the heart of the matter: "Responsible gaming is not only more than an obligation we must take seriously and a responsible task for the gambling industry. Responsible gaming can be fun, too." In this sense, responsible gaming should also – and predominantly – be seen as a service to customers, providing them with relaxing entertainment in a secure environment. It should therefore be our goal to select the right strategy to meet these requirements. Dr. Monika Poeckh-Racek, the Head of Corporate CSR at NOVOMATIC, endorsed this initiative and highlighted the efforts by NOVOMATIC and its operative subsidiaries to this effect.

The meeting's internal and external participants agreed that they have profited significantly from an event boasting such highly respected speakers and practical research questions.
