NOVOMATIC acquires British gaming operator Talarius

Further expansion of NOVOMATIC UK’s leading position in a core market: NOVOMATIC is now the largest AGC operator in the UK.
NOVOMATIC, Europe's leading gaming technology group, has announced the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of Talarius Ltd. With the closing of this transaction, NOVOMATIC continues its growth strategy and now employs more than 3,800 employees in its important core market, the UK.
"We have recognized the potential of Talarius and identified an opportunity for growth regarding the synergies stemming from the local infrastructure. With this transaction, we are able to further expand our market share in the UK, one of the largest European gaming markets”, said NOVOMATIC CEO Harald Neumann.
In the UK, Talarius operates more than 7,500 gaming terminals in 162 operations and employs around 1,000 staff. In 2015, Talarius achieved a turnover of around 65.5 million GBP. Following this transaction, NOVOMATIC is now the largest gaming operator in the segment “Adult Gaming Centers” in the UK.
