NOVOMATIC joins bidder consortium for Italian Lotto concession

Gumpoldskirchen, March 18, 2016 (OTS) – NOVOMATIC, Europe's leading gaming technology group, has entered, together with Lottomatica, a subsidiary of International Game Technology (IGT), Italian Gaming Holding (IGH), a subsidiary of SAZKA Group, and EMMA Capital and Arianna 2001, an entity affiliated with the Federation of Italian Tobacconists, into a consortium to bid for the Italian lottery concession.
This bidder consortium bundles the know-how and the financial resources of all its partners to collaboratively continue the success story of the Lotto game in Italy. The consortium submitted its bid on March 16, 2016 in accordance with the submission deadline. If the concession is awarded to the consortium, a joint venture will be established and Lottomatica will act as the principal operating partner.
“By joining this consortium, NOVOMATIC in particular continues the successful cooperation with SAZKA Group and EMMA Capital, which started in Austria with a partnership agreement for Casinos Austria”, said NOVOMATIC CEO Harald Neumann. In addition, NOVOMATIC is in talks with SAZKA Group about further co-operations in Greece and other countries.
