NOVOMATIC places emphasis squarely on employee health and safety

With its annual Health and Safety Day for the approximately 1,300 employees at the company head office in Gumpoldskirchen, Lower Austria, NOVOMATIC emphasizes its strong commitment to promoting workplace health and safety.

Gumpoldskirchen, August 2, 2024 – The NOVO Company Day in summer is an annual fixture for employees of the international gaming technology group. In this year’s Health and Safety Day, the company once again focused on the topics of health, nutrition, sports and exercise, as well as workplace safety, thereby sending a strong signal about the great importance of workplace health and safety at NOVOMATIC.

In a welcoming speech, the whole of the NOVOMATIC Executive Board emphasized the importance of having healthy employees to achieve business success: “NOVOMATIC’s success is inextricably linked to the health and satisfaction of our employees. This is why we believe looking after their well-being is a key pillar of our sustainable corporate development. The NOVO Company Day is one of the ways we would like to thank all employees for their commitment, as their daily dedication and willingness to perform play a significant role in NOVOMATIC’s success.” In her speech, the local deputy mayor Dagmar Händler also emphasized the importance of the company for the region: “NOVOMATIC is of great importance to the market town of Gumpoldskirchen, as the company not only creates a wide range of skilled jobs, but also places a high value on the health and safety of its employees.”

In keeping with the Group-wide motto “Enjoy Working With Us”, fun and team spirit were also in plentiful supply at this year’s NOVO Company Day. In particular, the presentation by Austria’s leading mental health expert Manuel Horeth inspired the audience with exciting live experiments. The Health and Safety Day's program included informative health check-up stations as well as valuable safety training, such as how to use a fire extinguisher and a defibrillator correctly.

The fact that employees are highly motivated to participate in the day's program is proof of the valuable contribution that the company makes to safeguarding a culture of health and safety at work.
