Trained and hired: NOVOMATIC employs the programmers trained in CCA
Human Resources -
At the end of April, a total of 8 participants completed the NOVOMATIC Corporate Coding Academy, the in-house training facility for game developers. All were employed by the in-house game studios of NOVOMATIC and Greentube on regular working conditions.
“Make the most out of you” is the motto of the NOVOMATIC Corporate Coding Academy (CCA), which trains specialists in software and game development. “I’ve always been passionate about technology and computer games. The tinkering, discovering and programming myself fascinated me right from the start. This is why I wanted to work in the gaming industry,” recalls one of the participants who just received his CCA certificate.
In November 2018, he started his training together with nine other applicants. NOVOMATIC trains “Coding Heroes” in the area of Game Design by means of a new training concept in just six months through its own Corporate Coding Academy developed in the company. There NOVOMATIC offers individual coding training in a small group, accompanied by experienced specialists in software and game development. In addition to the content inputs, the new employees will gain insights into the game studios and their game development processes. In this focused course, you reach your goal faster than in conventional study courses and you can work on real, international and market-relevant projects at the same time. “When I have finished my training at the CCA, I am already able to demonstrate my first experience with C++ programming and independently create high-quality programs after graduation,” says one of the CCA participants happily.
“We are very proud of our Coding Heroes and were able to observe great developments during the training. We wish all graduates a successful start,” says Dr. Klaus Niedl, Global HR Director.
