Gumpoldskirchen, 22nd July 2014 (OTS) – NOVOMATIC, Europe’s largest integrated gaming group, was now accepted as a member in three of the world’s most important lottery associations. With this, the company expands its competency in lottery services.

Apart from its market leading position in the European video lottery sector, NOVOMATIC strives to also increase its footprint in the classic lottery segment – not least through the acquisition of the Icelandic lottery technology pioneer Betware Holding hf. that was completed in November of 2013. Betware’s many years of experience as a provider of online gaming solutions for the lottery market already offer a major step in this direction. Now, NOVOMATIC can also count itself among the members of the three most important lottery associations worldwide: the World Lottery Association (WLA), the European Lotteries (EL), as well as the Corporación Iberoamericana De Loterías Y Apuestas De Estado (CIBELAE).

The World Lottery Association is a worldwide member-based organization that advances interests of the state lottery companies by advocating the highest ethical principles and supporting its members in achieving their visions. As one of the most recent members, NOVOMATIC has now been recognized as a Gold Contributor. With this, the group proves not only that it is one of the industry’s leading international players, but also shows that it complies with the WLA’s high standards regarding corporate and social responsibility.

The European Lotteries, an umbrella organization for national lotteries, has also recognized these efforts and rewarded NOVOMATIC with a status as Associate Member. The CIBELAE, an association of lotteries in Latin America, has accepted NOVOMATIC as a STAR Provider ("proveedor estrella").
